You have been subscribed to a public bug: Compiz hangs on logout. I will be asked if I want to kill the application (see screenshot).
viz: Clicking on the the (') menu in the top-right and selecting "Restart..."/"Restart to complete upgrade..." asks for confirmation, and then brings up a box complaining that the "Window Manager" is not responding and whether the user wishes to reboot anyway. Since a normal user doesn't know what a Window Manager is, ideally the window manager should ensure that it can always respond and therefore allow the shutdown to proceed. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Sam "SmSpillaz" Spilsbury (smspillaz) Status: Fix Committed ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug natty -- Compiz hangs on logout / doesn't integrate with gnome-session: complains that "Window Manager" does not respond https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/683121 You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
