When using unity 2d this problem no longer appears.
I reconfirm the bug for another computer.
I think it is the panel that steals focus (when pressing alt-key, I get
options related to the panel).
Perhaps it is important to note, that i have installed dropbox with the
dropbox icon in the panel..

Well, after logging back in 3D (after using 2D) the bug doesn't appear
anymore. If it happens again I'll run apport-collect 943324
