I have exact same problem as Brian: as my workspace shortcuts are
involving Super and not Ctrl+Alt, Ctrl+Alt are never released and the
workspace switcher stays.
To reproduce this with the normal shortcuts, it's a bit more complex than what
is in the bug description:
1. Go to top-left workspace
Also, a pretty good kludge would be to always hide the workspace
switcher when _no_ key is pressed.

I am getting this behavior without having to hit tab.
I always re-bind my workspace movement keys to super+left, super+right.
With the latest up-to-date 12.04, switching workspaces with these
keybinds leaves the 'Viewport Switcher Preview' window up when I release
the keybinds. I must then hit
