After we had another problem with an old ImageMagick version [1] I'd
suggest that we state the last supported version in the docs and make
people upgrade to at least this version before we investigate any issues.
The version that produced the recent problem was 6.2.4. The oldest
version

I started desigining the new features for Cache 1.4, which should
realize hierarchical caching. Since this topic is not trivial, I
started with a short summary of requirements and problems to be
solved.
