Have you thought about temporarily borrowing a lightscribe drive from a
friend etc and seeing if it works any better on your system?
Also, If there are endemic problems with that model it will surface on
the forum. If it doesn't the problem is something
I've run verification in disk utility and in Prosoft's Drive Genius 2.
