That problem bothered me for a long time, I am sure someone has implemented connman to configure WiFi remotely, if Connman cannot scan SSID like NetworkManager, what method or alternative open source are you using to scan SSID to allow users to configure WiFi remotely? There was an earlier discussion on the list where I suggested that we add a config option to main.conf to start iwd either in station + p2p or station + ap mode. Patches are always welcome!
