Archaeological Conservation Summer Internships Agora Excavations The American School of Classical Studies at Athens (ASCSA) The ASCSA Agora Excavations Conservation Laboratory is offering 2-3 Archaeological Conservation Internships for the 2017 summer excavation season. The internships will give students an opportunity to treat freshly excavated archaeological finds and to participate in an active on-site conservation laboratory. An introduction to the re-treatment, preventive and long-term care of archaeological collections will also be provided. All successful candidates are responsible for their travel arrangements to and from Athens, Greece and are required to obtain their own medical insurance for the duration of their internship. Housing and a modest stipend are provided for each intern during their internship. Applicants should indicate in their application their approximate preferred dates within this time frame. Two referees are requested to write letters of recommendation for each applicant. All applications should be submitted by 15 December 2016 and all references should be postmarked by 15 December 2016 and mailed to the address below.
