well, the binaries used for DrakX are those of cooker => compiled for pentium.

Why isn't kmpg put in the X11/KDE/Multimedia group like the other mp3
players? Also, that's where KDE's own package puts it...

Maybe this should be mentioned in the description as it's identical for the
two packages.

I got the following error message when trying to run the xaumix script:
/usr/bin/xaumix: line 33: syntax error near unexpected token `fi'
Fixed it by adding "; then" to the end of line 26

Just about ready to recompile the packages for 486 but I have one
question does the installer need to be recompiled as well or cal it be
used the way it is on a 486
I have fixed the bugs 94 and 304 in the Mandrake versions
of Xemacs (still present in xemacs-21.1.8-4mdk.i586.rpm),
fixed some inconsitencies in the package management of
Xemacs caused by the bzip2 info files and updated several
packages.
Unfortunately I've lost the connection after one hour of

Ops. I copied the code block from my current (and modified) spec
file. The actual code block from the Cooker distro. spec file is:
for i in `find $RPM_BUILD_ROOT/ -type 'f' -perm '+a=x' ! -name 'lib*so
In the spec file for perl-5_00503-9mdk I find the following is done to
strip (presumably, only) executables. Is the "! -name 'lib*so*'
supposed to prevent the stripping of all DSO's or just libraries? How
about the like of (for example)
/usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/sun4-solaris/auto/B/B.so? Should it

As the name implies it: Perl-GTK-gnome (it is gnomer-perl package I suppose)
has Gnome hooks; Perl-GTK has only Gtk hooks.

Hi!
I see Cooker includes openldap and nss_ldap, but not pam_ldap. Is there a
particular reason for this?
I would very much like to see Cooker include full LDAP support, that would make
it very easy to maintain organisations with many clients and users.
How about out of the box ldap server on l

Hello,
I have some problem with autofs and samba, my configuration file seems
not to work, any tips ?
auto.smb:

moreover the kernel structure vfsmntlist via the /proc/mounts seems to
not remove failed mounted samba filesystems. And
It was trying to use my modem for the network. I think. I set up the
modem during install.

This is getting very interesting. this was an install from cdrom had to
buy the 80 minute kind to burn the cd though.
1) The install is looking better all the time
2) The printer (epson 440) works now but still doesn't print the page
during install. instead it prints during boot the first time t
