How should I build 2.4.0 from cooker? Should I dl the
kernel-source-2.4.0-0.15mdk.i586.rpm package and build from that, or
should I build from the kernel-2.4.0-0.15mdk.src.rpm? And will the
.src.rpm ask me all the config questions of the normal kernel build?

install.
I had that problem, I did not have the package
locale-en installed, once I installed that the problem was fixed.

Hi!
Under KDE2 when I clic on a link displays in an application (a URL in a
message with Kmail, Knode, etc) it's Quanta+ which launches out
has the Konqueror place!
It is rather painful, somebody does it have a solution?
Thanks

bcast (2000b, new version) is on it's way to being updated. (unofficial)

Matt,
Take a look in /etc/sysconfig/i18n. I had the same problem and my solution
was to comment out all the LC_xxx= lines by putting a # at the beginning of
each. I also had to add an empty definition for LC_ALL, i.e. "LC_ALL=".
That seemed to cure the problem for me. I can't tell you what

Actually you dont need to. Not for building gimp 1.2.0 anyway.

I spotted the lines giving the error message while compiling. Its

Geoffrey, I think another BuildRequires needs adding.

Using the latest cooker, I am having problems with NFS locking. Maybe
it is more confusion than anything else. My specific problem is that I
cannot use fcntl to lock files. The errno I get is "No locks
available". So in hunting this down I also noticed these error messages
in my syslog:

You'll have to use a new Version. I use VMware-2.0.3-799 and
the installation works perfectly however i compiled kernel 2.4
from source and i don't know if it works with the precompiled
Mandrake kernel. Just try the new version of vmware.
