I reported here a week or two ago about not being able to use ext3 for
the root filesystem due to ext2 being static and being tried before
ext3 when mounting root.
I offered 2 solutions. Has anything been implemented? What are you
going to tell people who try to use ext3 for their root filesyst

I second that . . .
I always use Partition Magic (PM6) to partition first, then use

Now I get something strange - PM6 doesn't complain with the existing

I've noticed this has been a problem ever since Mdk's
Bugzilla went live. Is it possible that the web admin
could add a simple redir

Hi
Here is how I did it, on an older installation that already had the old
drivers installed and patched for devfs.
This is basically based on this mail:
http://www.mail-archive.com/cooker@linux-mandrake.com/msg41917.html
I went to:

Do I need the "dev" package if I am using devfs? If I am using devfs
why do I need the nodes in the /dev directory?

I recently tried to use PM6 and I got an error that my
partition table was unreadable and it wouldn't let me
do anything.. I have had problems with this in the
past when I have used diskdrake. Is there a way to fix
the partition table so that PM6 can read from it
again?

I upgraded to kdebase-nsplugins-2.2.33 but still
cannot get past the blue screen in kde.

It should more look like probably:
CLASSPATH=$(mkpath /usr/java/lib/*):$CL

We have not much space with 2 CD's, yet currently the kernel-source is
back on CD2 :

Sorry, bad habit... Here's the original message again...
I think I've just found a bug in the way bash is started under KDE. Under
8.0, I added a line to my .bashrc, something like:
CLASSPATH=`mkpath /usr/java/lib/*`:$CLASSPATH
When I upgraded to 8.1beta2, I no

You should subscribe to MCWN[1], this week's edition exactly deals about
this.
