Althought they are diverging from that goal in recent years. Most RedHat
apps still work on Mandrake, but most RedHat apps also work in Debian (yup,
you heard correctly).

This looks exactly like what I am looking for!
Sorry and thanks,
Michal
The Themes menu at the top of Control Center says, in order: plop, plap,
plip, HASH(0x...), and HASH(0x...).

Wierd. I'm running it right now on an ECS K7S5A motherboard (sis 735)
and it installed and ran perfectly. Have these people previously

If the option is chosen for 'Fancy date', you will notice that the date and
time is in a nice 12 hour format. However it can be troublesome, especially
if you are in communication with people around the world to figure out wether
the time is AM or PM. Can this be added??
Thanks

Several peoples report to me that they couldn't even start the install
of mandrake 8.2 beta x on a Sis chipset MB ( kernel panic unable to
mount root fs )
But, yes there's a but, they manage to install Red Hat 7.2
So is there an incompatibilities with new kernel ? doesn Rh have
something special ?
I just ran a benchmark test on my machine and noticed a big difference
between different versions of gcc. I took gcc 2.95.3, 2.96-80 (current
cooker version), and gcc3.0 (also from cooker). here are my results:
echo "GCC 2.95performance:"
GCC 2.95performance:
./xmm_gcc
