I've seen the 'foomatic rpm not found' error as well in beta3. (upgrade from 9.0).

Yeah I've run into that problem too. At least with
the beta two you could fool the computer into allowing
you to configure under mandrake config. Now, the
whole rpm

When you try to install printer during installation of beta 3 you get an error
message saying:
