[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2002-12-26 00:40 ------- $ grep repackage_dir /usr/lib/rpm/macros %_repackage_dir /var/spool/up2date This is how rpm is distributed by Mandrake, but that up2date thing is surely coming from Redhat. This directory does not exist in the standard Mandrake tree. ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-01-02 23:13 ------- Fixed and verified in rpm-4.0.4-24mdk. Thanks. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] description: The %_repackage_dir is where rpm save the old package when using the --repackage option. The man page says the default value is /var/tmp. However, rpm --eval %_repackage_dir gives /var/spool/up2date The problem is that directory does not exist on mandrake and rpm fails to warn the user that the package has not been saved. This macro should be set back to a reasonable value in /usr/lib/rpm/macros Still true in rpm-4.0.4-21mdk
