Take a look at what Mac OS X is doing with it's shared libs by using
'bundles' and 'frameworks'. I think this is a good idea and others might

I hate to say it, but as our systems get more complex we may need some sort
of single point of configuration information, ala windows registry (or
something better).
More flexible & modern user/share security model like WinNT.
A killer IMAP mail client with offline capability.
Something that can import/export .doc and .xls.
You guys are headed in the right direction, I just want you to know that.
Don't be discouraged; it takes many small steps to climb a mountain.
