Same problem here with Matrox G-200 AGP 8 meg in a Vectra VLi8.
Beta 2 is still VERY rough overall.

Talk about surprise. After the booting process and when X is started
everything 
turns black. Matrox G400 32MB. Not what I expected from a second beta.
