machine (A7V600 Asus mb) that is was having trouble with the VIA driver. It
was fairly straight forward except for the problem that the a couple of the
drives were used with the VIA experiment. It seemed that the installer

I just installed 2.6.0-0.test3.1 and I get a message that:

Is raid not an option in 2.6 yet?

This issue has been talked about on the list but it doesn't appear that the
maintainer of the package is listening. A workaround is to do a minimal 9.1
install then upgrade to cooker.

There is a new version that fixes a ip6 thing which makes it actually work
now on Mandrake.

How about support for drweb? It is popular with the postfix group and I
believe it has the vfs hooks.

Is LDAP now required then? I upgraded a non LDAP system from 2.2.3a and now
the logs show:
May 10 14:53:58 hs smbd[12388]: [2002/05/10 14:53:58, 0]
passdb/secrets.c:fetch_ldap_pw(242)
May 10 14:53:58 hs smbd[12388]: fetch_ldap_pw: no ldap secret retrieved!

I am kind of thinking to use one drive as /boot, swap, and a little left
over. Then the other 4 split with / and /home raid 5. Comments?

3a was released. Changed have slowed in the last day or two, so maybe Samba
is close to a 2.2.3b release. I hope the Samba Crew can get a new version
out before the final Mandrake 8.2. I have been using 2.2.3a with onl
Anybody getting these in their hourly logs and how to fix it? This is on a

Any reason why Webmin was dropped from the install list in the current Freq
distribution?
I had the same problem. It has happened with a few other packages in the
past. It would have been nice if the startup routine would have logged or
displayed something when it was booting up like "file not found".
