It fix the problem for me. i don't use gnome-session, i'm just running
gnome-panel with enlightenment-0.16.6.

But, i've got a problem with logout and lock icons in gnome-menu... :-/
fcrozat tell me it was a theme problem but it make that with all themes.
At start up, i've got this:

When you delete the main menu and create a new main menu (right clicking the panel) , the problem with the broken logout links disappear. It seems to me it is a problem with the mandrake specific menu configuration conflicting with some new gnome feature.

Same problem here, reinstalling libgnome2 didn't fix it.

I've some errors in my ~/.xsession-errors :
(wnck-applet:2512): GConf-CRITICAL **: file gconf-client.c: line 546
(gconf_client_add_dir): assertion `gconf_valid_key (dirname, NULL)' failed
(nautilus:2510): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: module
'/usr/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libmapping.so' returned a NULL handle
Avertissement du gestionnaire de fenêtres : Broken client! Window 0x1800002
(Terminal) changed client leader window or SM client ID

By the way, gnome 2.3 splash screen stays a lot of time (about 1-2 minutes), there might be a typo somewhere.

The splashscreen seems to disappear when you open a program such the gnome terminal. why?
