I was pleasantly surprised when I installed 8.2 final on my notebook today,
and it picked up the (Linksys) netcard correctly and worked on the first
boot! I even got Samba running in like 10 minutes (of course I'm pretty
familiar with smb.conf at this point...) Good job(!) on that one, I neve

So, when I install Mandrake on my notebook (this isn't cutting edge here,
we're talking P2/333) and the PCMCIA netcard Just Doesn't Work, that's not a
"big problem"? Having the network "Wizard" foul thin
Had big troubles installing the network card on my notebook (I'll note that
my desktop install went very smoothly. I'd say it was the cleanest mdk
install I've ever had, and would rate it as among the cleanest OS installs
that I've ever had.)
