2001-05-14 Thread Simon Peter Nicholls
I have a problem on one of my boxes here which uses the Intel i810. It shows the vertical banding as described by by a previous poster. Has this problem been fixed in KDE or is the only option to switch off accelerated support? Cheers, Si.

2001-05-10 Thread Simon Peter Nicholls
I've had exactly the same corruption we're talking about on two of my machines, but they were both running win98 second edition plus updates. No amount of fiddling would fix the partitions. At the time I had my suspicions it was scandisk doing the dirty deed. Now I keep windows trussed up in

I agree with Claudio, xine is up to 0.4.01 - way better than 0.3.5. Can someone roll one up for this, I'm busy rescuing my reiserfs cooker right about now. Mandrake 8.0 will be the mutt's nuts. Great effort everyone! Claudio wrote: Hi all again! ;o) As you could easily understand, I'm going

Re: [Cooker] kernel 242 is the culprit

2001-03-30 Thread Simon Peter Nicholls
I'm not sure the problem has been for all versions of 2.4.2 - don't remember a problem before -20mdk. I'm attaching a harddrake report. Si. Somewhere between VIA motherboard, 2.4.2, reiser and rpm theres a problem. I cannot get any log of the crash as all writes to the disk fail to occur.

I've had exactly the same problem with urpmi updates on my reiserfs partition. The problem only started within the last few days though - updates were fine before. I tried restarting each time but my lib files became corrupted somewhere along the line - I've just reverted to beta2. Is there

Second time I've sent this - not sure if the message is getting out there! Anyone having problems with pcmcia networking? The pcmcia service starts up, but as soon as the net interface is ifup'ed (3c574 pcmcia module), networking starts but seems to cause some conflicts (resource?): Any
