Would also like to confirm that the savage_drv.o from
http://www.probo.com/timr/savage40.html also fixes the problem on an ibm
thinkpad (tested on a T21, T22 and T23).

I think I have another instance of this bug. Installed 9.1 final this morning,
configured X, with the savage_s3 with sw_cursor against a sgi gdm5411 on
dockingstation
