After rebooting, I tried "linux" and "failsave". The corresponding kernel 2.4.21.0pre3.1mdk was uncomressed (vmlinuz), then initrd starts, and I get immediately a system reset.No kernel messages were on the screen, only the uncomress message from vmlinuz and something from initrd, but I cannot read due to immediate reboot. I can use 2.4.18 kernel from Mandrake 8.2 installation to boot up the new installation almost correct.
