The initscripts use the /etc/sysconfig/harddisk* files to set up DMA
grep DMA /etc/sysconfig/harddisk*
Wouldn't DMA be enabled there?

But i just saw, that there is a bug explaination in Bug 2275.
The output of 'hdparm -d ...' is correct, that means, in my case DMA is
