not the issue. The _real_ issue is that there must not be an entry
for a sound-slot-1 when the system has one and only one sound card
and already has an entry for sound-slot-0. Is that fixed now

Bug still valid in LM9.2beta2. My /etc/modules.conf shows these entries:
above snd-via82xx snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-slot-0 snd-via82xx
