           Product: dynamic
         Component: dynamic
Summary: Dynamic needs to use Supermount
           Version: 0.9-1mdk
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I was just wondering why Dynamic doesn't use supermount for the
mountpoints it creates? The problem with not using it, is that unless one
clicks on the mount point on the desktop (assuming one is created, see
bug 3062) before attempting to access the drive from inside an
application, it won't work. Worse, if you simply mount it from the command
line, it doesn't have the user switch on by default, making it so that
non-root users can't access it.

Since Mandrake uses supermount on everything else, doesn't using it on
these drives make things more consistant and less problematic?

  Thanks,
           Tim
