Hello,

I just freshened completely my cooker.
saslauthd wouldn't start any more.
I found that the problem was lying in the config
file: /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd
if you set
SASL_TIME_OF_DAY_LOGIN_RESTRICTIONS
then the startup script add a -T option when
starting saslauthd. however, this option is no longer
supported, and therefore prevents the starting up of the
saslauthd. The worse when running
# service saslauthd stop
# service saslauthd start
it happilly outputs you a green [ OK ]
but doesn't start it at all.

A temporaryu solution is to modify the start-up script
to not start saslauthd with the -T option.

Hope that helps,

Have a nice day,

Fabrice.
