Have you tried mounting the CD without supermount? Some anti-piracy methods
require non-supermounted CDs (ie Matlab Student Version).

I don't use supermount anymore, i've effectively given up on it.It's the first
thing I disable when i boot up into a system so that wouldn't be the problem.
