A while back, I had to delete my ".kde" directory, and since that
time, I have had a problem similar to the old "KDEInit can't..."
problems from March. This time, the only application that seemed
to be affected was Konsole. The problem seems to be solvable by
S-linking ~/.kde/share/applnk-mdk/Terminals/konsole.desktop to
/usr/share/applnk/System/konsole.desktop

My concern is that these eccentricities of KDE might sneak past
un-noticed. Are there really folks diligent enough to do a fresh
install of Mandrake Cooker in the Beta & RC stages and click on
every icon to make sure they work properly? This one was deceptive
as the Konsole worked just fine, but the Kicker, and any child
panels became frozen, failing to take input until the Konsole
exited. The error dialog from KDEInit didn't even show up until
*after* the Konsole was terminated.
