Hi all,

now I'm sure this will be resolved real soon, but I'm going a way on holiday
next week and I *really* need to know that my users can see their floppy and
cdrom icons, and their background while I'm away (and they aren't too
familiar with the UN*X file system!).

I believe that this situation is not a general Mandrake bug that affects a lot
of people, but it has come about through fairly normal periodic updates from
9.1 to cooker.

If anyone has a bit of time to look at the last errors I received I would be
really, really appreciative! As I said in the bug report, I've reinitialized
all pam files, and deleted *all* dotfiles in ~/, but the bug still occurs and
spits out the .xsession-errors file I've quoted in my report.

The machine has fully updated Cooker RPMS from this morning, but if anyone
suspects any packages I can brutally reinstall that'd be great.

The bug report is here:

Cheers!
Paul

Oh, and before anyone starts telling me off about using Cooker with users,
please understand that the machines in question have been completely stable
apart from a few CUPS related errors and this one (okay, and a couple more,
but they are gone now). And the benefits of the new 9.2 packages are
excellent!

PD
