NFS was enabled in my 8.2 install, and it interferes with clean shutdown. The shutdown process hangs indefinitely with the error Unmounting NFS failed. Fortunately I didn't need nfs so I disabled it. But , if it were needed this might be a problem , so I thought I'd let you know.
