Yup, on my 6.1 box, I'm using the alsa drivers. Relevant conf.modules
stuff goes like this:

Crap, I didn't even look at the file before I sent it...it doesn't look
to contain any useful information. It seems to be using isapnp which is
only looking at ISA cards? Is there something I can do to provide more
info or did you already get it elsewhere?

On a brand new mirror/install, no support for my Gravis Ultrasound PnP.
It's an ISA card, well supported by ALSA. Here pnpdum
