Wanted to pass along some problems that I am having on a laptop.
1. Everytime I unplug or plug in the power cord (with laptop up) it locks
my machine up.
2. Everytime I close the monitor, it shuts off.
I don't know if these are related to apm but will look into them a little
more. Anyone

Just a guess, but maybe it is APIC related? you can tryp booting with noapic or
recompile the kernel without it to see if it helps.
