Hi!
I've installed MDK 9.1 RC1 on a machine with the following ID drives configuration (extracted from installer stage1.log):
* IDE/1: hda is a WDC WD43AA
* IDE/1: hdb is a WDC WD150EB-00BHF0
* IDE/1: hdc is a ST3120023A
* IDE/0: hdd is a CDU5211

When trying to access /mnt/cdrom, I get following errors in /var/log/messages:
kernel: cdrom: open failed.
The machine usually hard-locks after this (even Alt-SysRq-S, Alt-SysRq-U, Alt-SysRq-B doesn't work).

So the machine hard-locks upon Gnome startup, urpmi or rpmdrake startup, or almost any attempt to enter /mnt and list its contents.

After turning supermount off the machine works well and I have no problem using CD-ROM (other than having to mount it manually ;-) ).
The command I've used to turn off supermount:
$ supermount -i disable
