As a workaround I guess it is OK, and I was using it but not really a
bug fix :-)
I think there is other issue with Radeon DRI like:
the key to chnage screen brightness for example does work on the 4.3
Radeon but not on the 4.3 Radeon with DRI..

Boot to init 3 and then use startx or Xtart.
Now when you log out of X you will be dropped back to init 3.
I have run into the same situation and though it does happen with other
cards
Some problem on the radeon7500 .
with X4.3 DRI when login out the screen is blanked and the system freeze.
work now with X4.3 without DRI
Any know patch setup for acpi ?
