I am dreaming of being able to remove windoze totaly from my computer. For me to do this I need 3 things to occure, If Mandrake can pull off putting in all three in the distro then I'll be a full mandrake supporter for life and even envest in Mandrake should it go on the stock market. The three things are simply: 1. DVD Support 2. USB Support (For QuickCam-USB and a Mustek 600USB Flat bed scanner) 3. Better support (detection/setup options) for my Voodoo Banshee 16meg video card and monitor which has Scan freqs of 30-70khz Horizontal and 50-160vertical (this has always been an annoyance because I have to manualy edit the xf86config to make it work correctly. I currently run cooker versions updating weekly, and if i find a bug or something odd I post it (if the bug dident trash my PPP like it has done before <GRIN> and taken weeks to fix on my own) thanx dave PS - Mandrake can beat red hat (and any others) if the leadership of Mandrake dont forget the little people. Mandrake has the potential, only needs better documentation (English) and better marketing (Advertize in the Linux Journal - Big Bold and flash and activily mention and support the cooker devlopment format!!! The more people who know of cooker and can feel part of the team the faster Mandrake will grow!!!!!!!
