Oi,

I uploaded a new release of Samba (6mdk) now, where the bug was fixed
that /usr/bin/smbspool is missing. With this file one has now access to
printers on Windows servers by CUPS. This file is the Samba backend for
CUPS and will be automatically linked to the CUPS tree
(/usr/lib/cups/backend/smb) when the Samba package is installed.

To install a Windows printer update to the 6mdk version of Samba from
the Cooker, restart the CUPS daemon, and you will find the connection
type "SMB" in the graphical admin frontend of CUPS (when you add a
printer, don't worry about the "Unknown", it works anyway). It is even
better to use KUPS for adding the windows printer in your CUPS, it leads
you through the configuration automatically.

Do not forget to make your Windows printer available for the network (or
at least for your CUPS server) in Windows.
