According to squirrelmail.org the problem is the lack of a trailing / in the config file but a symlink also fixes the problem (thats what I always did) I've had that problem with SM 1.2.10 with Mandrake 9.0. (the ../data/default_pref unavailable). Well the problem is in the config ... Run conf
