This has been broken for quite some time - I wrote about this here several times before.
In the Konqueror browser - when you right click on say an MPEG file and use the embedded viewer (noatun) - it starts but doesn't play the file or give an error. With MP3 files, when the mouse is moved over it - it plays. An previous versions of KDE (ie. 3.05) - the same applied to an Mpeg file - when the mouse was moved over it - it played automatically.
