Yo, To be sure about it, I've tried Tcl/Tk 8.3.1-6mdk. Bad news: it does not works too. Maybe RH 7 and Suse 7 either solved it or carry the same bug. I've reinstalled Tcl/Tk 8.0.5-19mdk (from 7.1 CDs), and I got the dead keys working again. I don't know , it might remain broke on the
