Sit down for this one. You're not going to believe it. :-) It actually
created a /dev/pilot symlink on the fly to /dev/usb/tts/1. I'm in shock.
I'm kind of proud to be a Linux user! You probably still have to set
visor=yes in /etc/sysconfig/usb so the system knows to be listening on
the USB port for a USB Hotsync cradle. After the usb daemon has been
restarted, that does it; you're ready to go. Whatever devices need to
look for the cradle, direct them to /dev/pilot. Press the hotsync button
on your cradle and then tell the app to sync with your hand held. Voila!
They begin to sync. It was *sniff* beautiful! *tear* Thank you for the
tip about /dev/pilot. In 8.0 the user manual says to create the
/dev/visor symlink. So, I was not looking for a pilot anything. Have a
