Mandrake 9.2 beta2 model number: v6usl Using XSane I can acquire a preview, but when I try to acquire a real image, the scanner either freezes about 3/4 way down the page the application asking for the scan freezes up and then I see my keyboard lights flash, and then the whole system locks up

The USB chipset on the motherboard is VIA and it appears that one of the chipsets on the VIA motherboard is 2.0 and that there may also be an older VIA usb 1.x style chipset as well. For what it's worth, the scanner is plugged into the back of the motherboard where the onboard plugs are. It's a M
