I've had a problem just show up on my installation. It worked fine a few days ago but I was swapping out some packages with RH 6.2 in a attempt to get the sound working. I've since gone back to all of the mdk packages, but the problem persists. When I click on the desktop CDROM icon to browse a CD, it gives me the error message: --------- KFM Error Could not mount Error log: mount: No medium found --------- and that's as far as it gets. When I click on the CD player in the K Panel, it comes up with the display saying "Ejected" even though the CD player isn't. The following errors have shown up in /var/log/kern.log: ---------- Sep 10 21:50:11 sparky kernel: VFS: Disk change detected on device sr(11,0) Sep 10 21:50:17 sparky kernel: cdrom: open failed. ---------- Any ideas?
