All was in src/filesubr.c in function get_homedir() :
...
The workaround is to put -f in inetd.conf which means that
get_homedir won't get called until after the switch in user ID.
...
in cvspserver :
...
exec /usr/bin/cvs -f $args pserver
...
and all is ok
I have always the same problem with cvs-1.10.8-3mdk (i don't know
if it was an attempt to solve it) ... i will take time to investigate a
little more ...
