Mandrake kernel hackers! I just wanted to know the status of kernel 2.4.5-6mdksmp with respect to NFS and reiserfs. Are the patches by the NFS team for reiserfs support folded into this version? In any case, i did a test with two machines, one dual P3-850 running mdk-8.0 NFS server exporting a reiserfs fs, with kernel 2.4.5-6mdksmp, and an athlon-850 client (same kernel) mounting the exported fs. Network link is a 100MBPs switch, both machines with 100MBPs NICs Then on the client i run 5 instances of bonnie on the exported file system; Not good. \8( The NFS server machine became unresponsive, and when i kill the bonnie processes on the client, the NFS server doesn't seem to recover, and i had to hard reset the computer. No logs were printed on the server's syslog. Would it be asking too much that this kind of torture test work? \8)
