A while back I reported that using a Zoom pcmcia card modem, that the data flow is in short bursts with anywhere from 5 seconds to a minute between. Well, yesterday I was able to borrow an external serial modem, and ppp works GREAT with that. So, anybody have any guesses? is it pcmcia modems in general, or zoom in specific? This is NOT a winmodem. It does NOT behave this way under windows. Vinny
