Hrm, I hadn't thought it could be a direct problem with X. XFree86-4.2.0-8mdk and a Radeon VE QY. The only other problem I have with X is that it locks if DRI is enabled and I switch VTs. Other then that, it runs beautifully in 1280x1024x24. (side note: why isn't the "shape" extension included
