No since it is an API change libpython2.2 and libpython2.3 are parallel
installable.
Had you done the installation using urpmi

Nope, as you can see all tests must pass and they do on ia32 and x86-64.
Bye,
Gwenole.
Recent cooker package (python-2.2.2-2mdk), built on 9.0, gave (with make
test):
177 tests OK.
1 test failed:
test_sax
I wonder, if this is also the case for building on cooker?
The attached patch file removes the failed tests in test_sax.
Remarkably, these tests are also removed in CVS
Hi!
The python release 2.2.2 is out since about a month. Please update it!
I took 2.2.1-13mdk spec file (a while ago), the only small change was
(besides update to python and html-2.2.2.tar.bz2), that you have to
remove from python-2.2-base.list the line:
http://eijk.homelinux.org/build/cooker/alpha/python-2.2.1-14mdk.src.rpm.txt
RPM build errors:

hi
python don't working, because:
$ python
python: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5: version `CXXABI_1' not found (required by python)
$ strings /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 |grep CXXABI
CXXABI_1.2
it is related to changes in gcc ABI, or some patches, or only must be
rebuild?:)

Hi,
python don't working, because:
$ python
python: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5: version `CXXABI_1' not found (required
by python)
You mixed beta3 and older C++-based packages, that won't work. Please
upgrade your system correctly. Especially use python-2.2.1-11mdk.

this available in any mandrake RPM ?

Hi
again a suggestion about docs :-)
There is on the python web site www.python.org/doc
a very nice tarball with python docs in html.
Why not include it in the python-docs rpm ?
