PMac4400 with G3 upgradecard

Hi, My problem is that when I try to install mandrake(using bootx to boot) everything else installs just fine, but then it tries to install bootstrap( a part of yaboot?) and it fails to do it. It didn't even give a hint what was the problem(no error explanation(or even error type)). So any hints
