I have had this problem. Solution that I use: choose hard disk as your
install method. Then choose the appropriate driver (mesh) when you are
prompted. Simply hit cancel when your drive shows up. If you are missing
drives (external for instance), choose the mac53c94 driver as well.
Cancel out
Does anyone know where the rpm that contains the 2.2.20 kernel source is on
the cd? I looked on cd1 and 2 and found only the 2.4.18 sources. Perhaps
they were not included? dunno. if anyone knows.

I have just attempted, at some length to install 8.2 ppc on my 7300. I have
an sonnet ATA 100 card with no devices attached, a nexus 128 video card, and
a belkin usb card. The kernel boots, but panics, unable to mount a file
system. It recognizes all the cards, but not the on-board SCSI (and th
did you try to use the pdisk utility(open a terminal and type 'pdisk') you
could do a bunch of stuff there like editing partions..

As far as I know, you can't format that partition in OSX. What you do is use the OSX
Disk Utility to create the partition as "Free Space"
(remember to uncheck the 'install OS9 disk drivers' box), then let Mandrake do the
format.
OSX will not see the data on the linux partition, no matter wher
I know this is a stupid question but if I would like to format the unix
partitions in OS X, how do I do that? Now they are formatted by Mandrake and
OS X cant see them. But if in want to erase them in OS X? (and find them in
OS X)
Thanks
