Hi - I got a friend to burn the iso's and the second was scratched - when i tried installing the zip package always messed up(im guessing because of the scratch) so i took it off(kdevelop and kutils had to go to because zip is a dependency) - after that the installation went fine I booted into KDE and tried to use the software manager to install zip manually but it wouldn't work at all - i tried using a cooker/ppc mirror and then mirrored the cooker to my hard drive with wget but it wouldn't install from that either Software Update sees the packages and lists them but when i try actually installing them it always said that there was an error(but no help or specific error message) I also tried installed other packages but they too failed Any ideas? I would try installing 8.2b2 over the internet but i thought Stew did things to the isos that weren't on the server -Tom
