You can taste it, but the lemon and spice mixture do compliment it. It's
not quite as authentic, but you could turn the marinade into a rub by
substituting olive oil.

This is the recipe I found.
We are supposed to make these tomorrow for a birthday party.

Claudia, I did not see the original recipe, but usually lemon bar
recipes called for lemon juice, and I have found that's not enough for
me. I always add a teaspoon of lemon extract as well. Regardless of
the instructions about greasing or not greasing the pan, spray the pan
well with Pam
